We arrived to our newly built home in Placitas NM but had no window treatments anywhere. Researched home automation and the use of "scenes", and in tandem also researched window treatments that lent themselves well to home automation but also had stand alone remote controls for the use of guests. Finally we researched providers of window treatments and we settled upon I'm the Blind Lady after reading numerous reviews and having visited the store to meet with the staff. In the past we had Hunter Douglas window treatments so we were already familiar with their high quality products. We were shown any number of options, styles, and types of blinds at the store and were able to operate these on our own. This helped us decide ahead of time what we thought would be the most desirable in our home. We then had an excellent meeting at our home with Bonnie, who came to measure our windows and provided many viewpoints related to usage of the blinds by family and friends. This cemented our choices in terms of which windows have automation, which remained manual, which were top down bottom up, which were roller, and what type of material and blind construction we needed to obtain the type of light filtration we desired to have etc. Bonnie measured the windows multiple times and in multiple locations to account for any out of squareness issues that may have been present. She pointed out our door handles had the correct space for blind operation which is what helped us decide that we could have blinds on the doors. Everything we asked for was assembled into a quotation that was clearly described and required no changes or adjustments. On installation day we were greeted by Ricardo and Victor who made the installation appear effortless. The blinds fit perfectly, the motors for the automated blinds operated flawlessly, and the blinds were individually adjusted so separate blinds operating as a single unit all stay in alignment as they move up or down. They also walked us through the setup of our automation account which allowed us to use an application on our cell phones to make any number of adjustments/choices/rules to follow, which is very handy as we can dictate how we want the blinds to be in postion at varying times of the day and night. They also explained how the stand alone remotes functioned and worked with us to have them placed in the most appropriate positions on the walls. All in all, we had a very excellent experience with I'm The Blind Lady and suggest to all that you choose Hunter Douglas products and visit I'm The Blind Lady and engage with their staff, have the measure done, then purchase and have the blinds installed by I'm The Blind Lady.
